Job Description: We have an opening for a vRO/vRA Administrator on the Cloud Automation Engineering team. This resource will be handling day to day automation tasks of the VMware environment within vRA/vRO which include installations, updates, migrations, development, and troubleshooting. It will require supporting troubleshooting issues within the environment and supporting the resolution of production outages. The candidate should have good knowledge of PowerShell, PowerCLI, and VRA/VRO code which is currently being utilized to help automate the operations for virtual machines. These candidates will be directly affecting the infrastructure automation that is being utilized for the Next Gen Enterprise Data Centers.

Experience Required:
  • 3+ years of vRA/vRO Experience
  • 3+ years of VMware (ESXi) Administration Experience
  • 3+ years of Automation Experience with PowerShell and/or PowerCLI

Experience Preferred:
  • 3+ years of experience with multiple programming languages: For example: Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Perl, C. (Preference on Ruby and Javascript)
  • 3+ years Infrastructure experience in one or more areas: Operating Systems, Database, Storage, Network, or Active Directory
  • Experience with software development tools and continuous delivery and integration technologies, such as Chef Habitat, Jenkins, Github, or Nexus Scripting abilities - for building tools to perform system automation activities, such as Chef, Ansible, Perl, Python, or Unix Shell Experience with Agile (i.e. Scrum or Kanban)

Education Required:
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
