Role:- Principal Technical SME/Architect Duration:- 6+ Months Location:- American Fork, UT or Englewood, CO Mode of Interview:- Phone/WebEx Requirement A principal who can spearhead Resource should be technically strong and hands-on Should have deployed any Product platform eg., MongoDB, Kafka etc., Should have exp in measuring and finetuning the Performance of the platform over a period of time and Optimized the Platform Should have worked on K8 Cluster Platform optimization with people management skills and is also hands-on to drive practical outcomes. This individual will be a full stack architect who can be comfortable with context switching and working across our ecosystem. Basic Requirements: A successful Principal SME will: Be available to work onsite out of our American Fork, UT or Englewood, CO offices Have a 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, master's degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience Deep domain expertise in media streaming technologies, protocols, codecs and standards. Have 10+ years of professional experience and solid understanding of architectural patterns, design patterns and hands-on knowledge in applying these concepts to practical problems Experience in working with distributed systems and building/maintaining highly-available applications and services, preferably on a cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or another hybrid cloud environment Ability to systematically analyze and break down requirements to provide scalable architectural solutions that fit into the long term architectural roadmap Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate architectural details to stakeholders at different levels (executive, technical and non-technical) through UML diagrams, crisp documentation and white-boarding as required Experience in building and managing micro-services based applications, with a solid understanding of the challenges presented by the architecture including inter-service communication, service discovery, distributed log collection, monitoring and independent scaling of services, etc. Hands-on experience in building, designing and using web services, preferably REST APIs Understanding of API gateways, API lifecycle management and other considerations such as throttling/rate-limiting, secure access, etc., preferably with hands-on experience on Nginx and/or Apigee Understanding of application security considerations including regulations around Personally Identifiable Information, controlling access to services, financial transactions, etc. Experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to work in a constantly evolving project, without losing sight of the requirements or the overall vision Here are some of the key technologies that make up our environment.
