Shift Supervisor

A shift supervisor job description involves a variety of different tasks, from conducting employee reviews to reporting to middle and upper management with ongoing issues or problems. Duties and responsibilities:

• Assigns tasks to employees.
• Monitors employees work habits and makes sure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
• Conducts performance reviews.
• Writes up reports of employee behaviors.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Motivates employees.
• Responds quickly and practically to emergencies, crises, or unexpected problems during the shift.
• Keeps supervisors and upper level management apprised of daily operations.
• Processes paperwork for HR or upper management as required.
• Trains and integrates new employees.
• Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed.
• Ensure that daily sales/production goals are met.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

• Experience with supervising at least 30 employees or more
• 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Problem Solving skills
• Must have worked or currently working in a Manufacturing environment
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft office
• Ability to Train and Evaluate, not limited to corrective actions
• Forklift driving/ Safety certificated required.
