R&D IT Program Manager

Location: Chesterfield, MO Description: W2 Applicants Only - Cannot Support C2C CandidatesOur client is looking for an R&D Program Manager to build and maintain strong working working relationships within a global, culturally diverse program.DESCRIPTION: This position will be responsible for managing a global program within the R&D IT organization. The ideal candidate must have strong program management skills and possess excellent problem solving and communication skills (written, verbal, and instant). Candidate must be a strong self-starter and able to manage competing priorities. The candidate is required to have a background in Agile program management with a proven track record. Science-based lab experience is a plus.The IT program manager's responsibilities encompass the holistic structuring, management and coordination of an IT program directed to achieve a common goal consisting of several IT projects with varying degrees of complexity, with interrelated interdependences across organizational functions. The objective of the IT program manager's job is to deliver the program on time and within budgetary constraints according to the defined scope, schedule, and business expectations. They ensure that business expectations are aligned to actual project scope and delivery of business value realization.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives program and project performance, (e.g. delivery on commitments, quality, responsiveness, reliability, service, and development) together with financial performance Manages and monitors program scope, risks, issues, and problems, including quality and value proposition, and reports progress to management stakeholders / customers on a regular basis Coordinates with other programs to enhance synergies across IT Establishes the program team, program plans and enabling processes Establishes and maintains appropriate business relationships with assigned business partners, sponsors, key stakeholders and program participants, and acts as management focal point for program-related activities and change management Provides expertise in planning, execution and leadership of program, projects and initiatives Monitors/tracks program scope, baseline changes, development and production of assigned programs and projects Ensures appropriate resolution of issues and risk management. Ensures program is carried out to a high standard and compliant with the company's polices and guidelinesREQUIRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree, preferably master's, majoring in information technology or science related field Minimum of 7 years' experience including a minimum of 5 years' experience in applied program management in a complex, agile, global environment Knowledge of the regulatory and quality requirements of the industry Ability to build and lead integrated global teams Communication skills across groups and functions High-level consultancy skills and relevant experience Problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills Skill set for all aspects of program or project management, including change management Strong Microsoft Project skills an absolute requirement Sensitivity to the multi-cultural characteristics of the global IT organizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Certification in program/project/process management desirable (e.g. PMI®, PRINCE2®, Six Sigma) Demonstrated leadership skills with at least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred Contact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
