Position Summary: The Salesforce Technical Lead works with an agile team delivering creative and sophisticated software on the Force.com platform. They are responsible for leading the delivery of the technical designs and solution strategy, including Org strategy, org migration, & design. They will also mentor development resources and develop front- and back-end solutions through all stages of the software development lifecycle. They are responsible for managing each aspect of Salesforce implementation ranging from declarative configuration, software customization, and 3rd party integrations. They work with business units and fellow team members to understand our business needs and will be responsible for designing robust and scalable solutions to meet those needs. This role requires a history of designing and building successful enterprise grade software solutions along with the ability to grasp a variety of unfamiliar technologies and complex work flows and to integrate or migrate them quickly into the Salesforce platform. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce platform including both platform features and credit union specific configurations and customizations.
  • Serve as technical lead on projects to design, develop, test, document, and deploy robust software solutions on the Force.com platform.
  • Develop change and release management for the Salesforce applications using DevOps and CI/CD processes and tools including Azure DevOps, Bitbucket/GIThub solutions
  • Provide guidance on master data management associated with Salesforce, including data capture, warehousing, storing, cleansing and security
  • Lead design and review of our Salesforce implementation.
  • Mentor others in Salesforce development technologies, tools and processes.
  • Work independently to develop solutions using Salesforce Declarative Tools and Administration (Process Builder, workflows, approval processes, page layouts, custom objects, reporting).
  • Work independently to develop solutions using Force.com development tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, web services).
  • Develop modern reactive web interfaces using the Lightning Platform.
  • Integrate Salesforce with internal applications and 3rd party platforms.
  • Create Test Classes to perform unit testing to detect defects and regression test.
  • Keep up to date on new Salesforce releases for the Force.com platform, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Contribute to the analysis of functional requirements.
  • Participate in areas such as web security, REST/SOAP APIs and system monitoring.
  • Provide tier 3 end-user support (including system configuration, complex formulas, and system maintenance) and assist users with proactive best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of the Salesforce CRM.
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes.
  • Support previously developed solutions, such as Visualforce Pages and Components, Apex Triggers, Custom Settings, Lightning Components, and Lightning Apps.
  • Identify improvements to the Salesforce platform through understanding of the Salesforce roadmap, peer organizations, end user community and Salesforce community. Partner with Product Owner and other stakeholders to prioritize enhancements.
Salesforce Technical Lead Requirements: Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Experience developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required, or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in Salesforce Force.com Development
  • Experience in professional object-oriented development
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts
  • Enterprise system integration background with RESTful Web Services and ETL
  • Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks within timelines
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional track record of superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Certified Application Architect or Certified System Architect preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a financial services industry.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience developing reactive web applications in frameworks such as Lightning, Angular, or React.
  • Experience developing in an enterprise environment such as source code control, continuous deployment, release management.
  • Experience with other object-oriented development tools such as C#/.Net and Java.
  • Experience with MuleSoft API platform
