RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a growing company is seeking a Senior QC/CMM Inspector in Tucson, AZ. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager.Summary:Under supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager and Machine Shop Manager indirectly, this position is responsible for performing timely dimensional inspections of fabricated and machined parts and assemblies. This individual will inspect machine shop set-ups, first articles, and finished goods, as well as maintain appropriate documented records that comply with customer requirements.This position requires the use of manual inspection equipment, as well as setup and use of a CMM Laser Tracker, CMM Arm, CMM Probing System, and Optical Comparator, and familiarity with 3D CAD and Inspection software. Due to the wide variety of work tasks, this position requires creativity in the selection of metrology techniques and methods best suited for the job at hand.Primary Responsibilities: Perform accurate first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined parts, large-complex weldments, and finished assemblies in compliance with regulatory standards Document acceptance and rejection (non-conformances) and notify appropriate managers Collaborate with production, project management, and engineering to resolve quality issues Verify setup and complete critical measurement of components in machining center setups Team size is about 20 people; Leads, machinists and managersREQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years of experience as a QC Dimensional Inspector in a Machine Shop QC Lab Experience with weldment and ideally large weldment Machine shop/QC experience with checking parts Strong documentation as well as the role requires about 40% of documentation Ability to use the following manual inspection measurement tools; Calipers, thickness, depth, ID, and OD micrometers; Dial bore, feeler, radius, thread, surface, and telescope gauges and indicators; And adjustable parallels, surface plates, and precision squares Ability to read blueprints and experience applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Ability to use, or quickly learn to use with minimal training, a CMM Arm and Laser TrackerPreferred but not required: Two (2) years of experience using a CMM Arm or Laser Tracker Certification to ANSI/ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Experience with Verisurf and/or Spatial Analyzer measurement and reporting software Experience with Solid Works; importing CAD models to analyze and prepare technical reports Experience with QMS' such as ISO 9001, AS, AISC, ASME, DPD, IRIS, NAVSEA, QC1, TS, etc. Experience completing NIST calibrations and reports for various inspection equipment Experience completing AS9102 First Article Inspections for Aerospace and Military customers Experience with ASME and/or AWS visual welding inspection, AISC/SSPC/NACE finishing, and ASTM A380 pickling and passivationKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
