RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client, a growing company in the Tempe, AZ area is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager.Summary:This will be a hands-on, technology-heavy role emphasizing identification, prevention, and remediation of cybersecurity threats where you are responsible for the configuration, daily operations, management and architecture of the company's cybersecurity environment. You'll research, troubleshoot and resolve cybersecurity and Network/Infrastructure issues as they arise.Responsibilities: Serving as the subject matter expert for cybersecurity concepts, solutions and daily operations supporting 3,000+ end users spread across various locations nationwide Configuring, operating, optimizing and sustaining security infrastructure devices including F5 appliances and Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls Implementing countermeasures and enhancing defenses for information systems and resources Developing and implementing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Synthesizing and analyzing vulnerability and threat data from a variety of sources to provide actionable intelligence then advising relevant stakeholders on appropriate courses of action Participating in architecture discussions with peers, Enterprise Architecture, and the Information Security Department ensuring our cyber infrastructure is securely supporting business needs Providing technical leadership and overall accountability for the successful implementation of cybersecurity components within customer projects Completing service requests and incident tickets in support of the cybersecurity infrastructureREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in a technology field is preferred or equivalent work experience Possess one or more of the following cybersecurity certifications: CompTIA Security+; CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+); CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+); Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA exam 200-301; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 3-6+ years of relevant, hands-on work experience administering cybersecurity platforms Experience with Microsoft Azure and securing Cloud-based services is a plus Must have knowledge and experience with Palo Alto Firewalls Infrastructure/network security background is required Will be owning projects/tasks from end to end, building solutions, making decisions) Proven experience configuring cybersecurity systems and devices to include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filters Demonstrated understanding of the tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors while disrupting their activities with cybersecurity defenses Proven experience investigating security incidents with ability to analyze logs to uncover details of a compromise, systems involved, threat TTPs, etc. then deploying appropriate remediation Demonstrated ability to context switch while still delivering on commitments Experience with Microsoft Azure and securing Cloud-based services is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
