Network Administrator

The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable and secure operation of the computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, monitoring and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.

• Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
• At least two years network administration and PC technical support experience required.
• At least one year of experience preferred on the following: Cisco Router, Switches, APs and familiarly with client server architecture.
• Proven knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to work effectively with all departments.
• Ability to assess, analyze and solve computer-related problems.
• Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft Office software.
• Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
