TOP Consulting is looking for a Data Modeler to join our team. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of Data Modeling / Data Management / Data Warehousing experience, background includes experience with wide variety of RDBMS (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Oracle etc.)
Roles and Responsibilities:- Develop data models to store and report on Supply Chain and Financial data such as Inventory, Item, PO, Receipts, AR, AP etc.
- Understand reporting / visualization requirements and build data vault models, denormalized structures, and aggregate tables to support fast retrieval of data.
- Create data model documentation describing data lineage and business rule driven transformations
- Develop data models that support scalability for volume and variety of data sources to be integrated together with minimal rework for ETL processes.
- Participate in testing and validating data flowing into the target models using SQL scripts
- Maintain consistency in naming standards and ensure standards are followed
- Develop stored procedures, user defined functions in SQL Server using secure coding techniques that guard against SQL injection attacks
- Ensure adherence to data management/governance policies, processes, and standards
- Develop reconciliation & balancing scripts between source applications and the data platform to track accuracy of data loads Required
- 5 - 7 years of prior IT experience in Data Modeling / Data Management / Data Warehousing
- Proven experience in creating scalable data models supporting a wide variety of end user audience (Visual Analysts, BI Developers, Data Scientists etc.)
- Experience developing data models using ER/Studio or a similar tool is required.
- Experience in understanding API payload and modeling target objects to accommodate schema drift.
- Understanding of API behavior, security, paging etc. is required
- Experience in integrating multiple sources into a centralized data platform or Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Experience in developing Data Vault models, Star Schemas, Normalized and denormalized structures
- Experience in Supply Chain Analytics, Finance Reporting
- 5+ years of in-depth experience working with a wide variety of RDBMS (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Oracle etc.)
- Experience in writing Stored Procedures, Secure coding with safeguards against SQL injection attacks
- Experience in working with traditional structured rowstore data, semi-structured and dynamic schemas such as XML, JSON
- Experience with BI tools and their data needs (i.e. Qlik, Tableau, BOE, or SAS as examples) desired
- Experience in using visualization tools and an understanding of how those tools consume data
- Experience using Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) such as Informatica Intelligent Cloud (IICS), Jitterbit Harmony, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Understanding of Data Quality concepts and ability to use them effectively.
- Experience in writing Data Quality routines for cleansing of data and capturing confidence score
- Experience working with ERP data from applications such as Workday, PeopleSoft
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
- Healthcare experience preferred
