In this position qualified candidates will be able to design and develop highly customized QlikView applications for our clients. These applications use very large amounts of data and therefore require in depth optimization skills to ensure excellent performance. Our applications require extensive and complex set analysis logic as well as creativity to meet our users’ exacting requirements. This role will also be required to gather client requirements and write technical BI requirements for a variety of Health Care BI projects. Other responsibilities will include data analysis, requiring strong SQL skills to analyze the quality of the source data to ensure correct modeling and ETL work. Data sources will include Oracle, SQL Server and potentially other databases.
Roles and Responsibilities- Serves as liaison between end-user organizations and technical team
- Interviews end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality and performance
- Cleary define and document end user requirements
- Ability to develop reporting solutions utilizing Qlikview
- Provide design advice and user interface advice for optimum performance
- Design and build reports for customer distribution
- Provide data analysis and deliver application to database validation
- Provide customer training
- Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to use SQL to analyze source data
- Ability to use SQL to test/verify the ETL work
- Respond to client requests and inquiries, as appropriate
- Execute and Verify testing
- Resolve testing issues and correct defects
- Document any testing issues and resolutions
- Adhere to methodology and process standards
- Ensure systems meet functional and technical standards
- Identify improvements for processes, standards, deliverables, etc.
- Escalate issues when required
- Provide status updates as warranted, once per week minimum
- Dedicated to exemplary customer service
- 3+ years experience utilizing QlikView to implement complex analytical solutions which access data from multiple sources
- Minimum 3 years experience developing Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytical Solutions
- 2-3years with Workday preferred or Peoplesoft
- Supply chain experience needed
- Prizm experience a plus
- Solid experience developing complex QlikView data models
- Experience in developing QlikView extension objects
- Experience in performance tuning of QlikView server, publisher and data loads
- Experience in clustering and scaling QlikView environments
- Utilizing scripting language to meet complex requirements
- Utilizing QlikView Publisher capabilities
- Development/Testing/Processes
- Extract, transform and load data from multiple data sources into the QlikView application
- Design, build, test and debug QlikView solutions based upon specified requirements
- Ability to tune data loads and QlikView application for efficient performance
- QlikView Developer certification.
- 1+ year(s) working in the Health Care Industry
- Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities in a data warehouse environment
- Experience interacting with business users
- Strong SQL skills required
- Demonstrated experience with software application lifecycle methods, processes and tools
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline or the equivalent technical training and work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
