Hairstylist Chair Rental in the West Village

Hello Hairstylists!

Maverick House is a new salon in the West Village on Christopher Street. We began the adventure of opening our salon in February of this year. After a long and wild journey through construction and Covid we are excitedly hoping to add to our team. Please note, this is a booth rental option only.

We are excited about creating a home for independent hair artists and educators.

We are looking for folks who are passionate about hair. Stylists who are committed to bettering themselves and others in this industry; who go the extra mile to get it just right. People who inspire others and look to be inspired not only in their work but also in the day to day of their lives. Stylists who love to share and collaborate and who get excited about doing good work. People who have interests outside the salon whether it be education, session work, fashion week, competitive work, etc. Folks who are kind, who genuinely love people and enjoy working in a service industry.

A little about us:

Maverick House was cofounded by two long time friends who wanted to create a salon where stellar work and community ties were prioritized.

Liz: In the industry 16 years, 12 of those are in NYC. Educator with Wella 12 years. Ran the education program at her previous salon. Loves to do competitive work and dabbles in fashion week.

Bobby: In the industry 16 years, 8 of those are in NYC. Ran the color education program at his former salon in San Francisco. Makes the rounds at fashion week and also spends time doing campaign work.
