As a member of the UX team, you will be researching competitors, benchmarking, sketching concepts on a whiteboard or paper with members of your project team, and creating prototypes for user research. As you sink your teeth into your projects, you'll find yourself heads down in the weeds at your desk or at an open space around the office. Your design experience and instincts enable you to create and define elegant interfaces that establish intuitive and familiar patterns that create a cohesive product experience. Our expectations are to work collaboratively with the project team including clients and other vendors; gain trust internally and externally using your expertise and communication skills; deliver timely solutions; and build future business by influencing the potential of the brand, project, or program through the perspective of the customer.

Required Professional Design Expertise
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and building subject matter expertise towards the individuals you're designing for.
  • Experience designing digital products and applications for the web.
    • Conduct analysis and formulate problem statements, document requirements and establish solutions that can be built.
    • Ability to justify design decisions to peers/internal teams through reviews and critiques of your solution that consistently present the customer perspective.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organization and written skills.
    • Deliver your work professionally, on or before the deadline, every time with some autonomy and limited oversight.
    • Have an ability to manage and prioritize your daily work to be productive and establish a comfortable work/life balance.
  • Prioritize and promote user testing along with the ability to articulate the learning objectives of the study.
    • Must have an awareness of different types testing both qualitative and quantitative including an understanding how to communicate the learnings.
    • Prototyping to conduct quick turn studies that aid in choosing a design direction or validate a concept.
  • Must be a proven team-player and have an ability to earn the trust of clients and colleagues.

Preferred Professional Design Expertise
  • Experience with designing for accessibility standards
  • Experience using and defining design systems for enterprise level solutions
  • Working knowledge of UX design tools:
    • Axure RP
    • Sketch
    • InVision (Prototype, DSM, Studio etc.)
    • Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)

Education:
  • Degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or related field
  • Preferably 2-5 years of experience in a User Experience role at a digital agency or an enterprise corporation.

Bonus Experience
  • Expertise in designing for Adobe Experience Manager.
  • HTML and CSS coding skills for prototyping.
  • Experience with design guidelines and development on native mobile platforms.
