DescriptionLooking for an Execution Data Analyst / Junior Trader with data science, analytics and visualization experience and/or extensive relevant coursework at an undergraduate or graduate level. This is a newly established role within the firm and the successful candidate will build and incorporate a new data perspective to increase transparency and enhance decision making on the trading desk. The individual will report to the Director of Trading, will be responsible for assisting with daily trading desk activities, and can expect to work closely with all members of the trading desk, Operations, and the data warehouse team.Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Director of Trading to develop and implement TLC trading analytics architecture toenable best execution and optimize costs across the trading lifecycle Gain technical understanding of transaction cost analysis, including relevant TCA models, benchmarks, datastructures, means of access and limitationsLeverage data analytics to quantify and increase transparency into execution outcomes. Create custom reports,visualizations and interactive dashboards to effectively convey trading costs, risks and opportunities and provideinsights on how the desk can optimize overall execution in alignment with investment team objectives Measure and evaluate daily production activities to identify opportunities for enhanced workflow efficiencies,improved risk management and increased desk capacity Expand trading analytics availability to related applications (capacity analysis, liquidity risk analytics, alphaprofiling, optimization of order sizing/timing, trader alpha ranking) through extraction, normalization andstandardization of projected and actual historical implementation cost data from TCA vendors into our data warehouse Work closely with Operations to ensure accurate transaction billing and settlement and timely responsiveness tointernal/external client requests Assist in process transformation from manual/excel-driven procedures to automated, risk-controlled workflowsQualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance or Computer Science and/or extensive coursework in data science andvisualization, or relevant prior (2+ years preferred) ETL and analytics experience utilizing Python, R, SQL,Tableau Experience leveraging Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, BeautifulSoup) and Requests module fordata extraction, analytics, visualization Exceptional logical reasoning, analytical skills and a strong interest in leveraging technology in a data-drivenframework Self-starter with the ability to innovate through creative and lateral thinking Passion and intellectual curiosity for data/analytics reporting within the investment industry Strong work ethic, ability to self-motivate, prioritize and multi-task under deadlines while maintaining accuracyand poise Superior communications and interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic smallteam environment High ethical standards and the ability to identify and rectify weaknesses in workflows and processes Attention to detail, accuracy and pride in work produced Open-minded, inclusive and respectful of diverse viewpoints and backgrounds Familiarity with US equity market structure, trade management system(s) is a plus
