TOGAF Enterprise Architect

Location: Detroit, MI Salary: Flexible C2C or W2 Description: Location: Remote - On site in Detroit, MI by Spring 2021 or sooner depending on COVID situation. Duration: 2+ year open ended contract This role is essentially an Enterprise Architect. Must have a TOGAF certification and good communication skills.Requires a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Operations Research, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical/analytical field. Description: Interface with Business, Management, IT and Strategy teams across the enterprise to determine the Architecture Capability desired by the organization and develop a high-level aspirational vision of the Business and IT capabilities and the value to be delivered as a result of the proposed enterprise architecture Create the architecture definition documents by doing gap analysis across various Business and IT areas Generate the initial complete version of the Architecture Roadmap, based upon the gap analysis and candidate Architecture Roadmap components (Business, Data, Application and Technology) Finalize the Architecture Roadmap and the supporting Implementation and Migration Plan. Ensure that the Implementation and Migration Plan is coordinated with the enterprise's approach to managing and implementing change in the enterprise's overall change portfolio Ensure that the business value and cost of work packages and Transition Architectures is understood by key stakeholders Ensure conformance with the Target Architecture by implementation projects. Perform appropriate Architecture Governance functions for the solution and any implementation-driven architecture Change Requests Ensure that the architecture lifecycle is maintained. Ensure that the Architecture Governance Framework is executed Seeking someone that can utilize the following tools and technologies: UNIX, Linux, Access, MySQL, SAP, Apache, Java, SQL, C/C, XML and related tools. Provide overall SME guidance, definition and facilitation for the development of an architecture (current and future state) required to meet business strategies and goals. HANDS-ON TECHNICAL/ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT CAPABLE AND EXPERIENCED IN DESIGNING AND BUILDING ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE FROM THE GROUND UP. TOGAF Certification (The Open Group Architecture Framework) credential is significant. Responsibilities include advocacy and support of the enterprise's IT strategies, identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context, analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, and the development of strategies aligning IT to business. Architects interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. They conceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions. They are involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation. Additional responsibilities may include the establishment of the overall architectural viewpoints and the establishment and oversight of organization standards and policies. Architects identify major system interfaces, business capabilities needs, and existing architecture weaknesses and opportunities for systems. Bachelor's Degree in a related field (I.e., MIS, CIS) and at least five years of related IT experience OR at least ten years of related IT experience without the Bachelor's Degree. Thorough understanding of the IT industry (e.g., emerging technologies, industry standards, support services, architectures, open-source initiatives, systems design and systems Product Integration.
