Total work days for the school year between 188 and 194 days, depending on school calendar options. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Oversees student care while at school. Delegates tasks to unlicensed personnel within scope of license.

Participates in the surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases. Complies with reporting guidelines.

Educates students, family members and faculty. Promotes a wellness environment and ensures the health, comfort and safety of students.

What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:Required Credential(s):

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.

Education:Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:Preferred experience with pediatric population

Preferred experience in Home Health Care or Outpatient Clinic
