Job Summary: The Project Manager reports into a departmental manager or director and is responsible for coordinating cross-functional resources and schedules to deliver project plans and deliverables on-time, within budget, and in alignment with company-wide priorities. The IT Project Manager role will also oversee the planning and executing of IT & cross-functional projects within various Inogen departments. Project portfolio may contain software implementation or improvements, business process improvements or expansion projects.

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)
  • Establish and maintain best practice policies and procedures for project management with particular attention to operations within an assigned department.
  • Oversee assigned project portfolio including active and upcoming projects (as assigned) to monitor resource availability and scheduling.
  • Directly manage assigned projects including planning, execution and monitoring of schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Achieve project deliverables to scope within budget, timeline, resource plans and constraints.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.

  • Strong background in Project Management best practices, preferably according to PMI processes.
  • Experience in agile project management methodology on corporate IT projects.
  • Ability to lead large corporate IT system implementation projects at an enterprise level.
  • Knowledge of corporate IT processes and best practices for delivering IT systems & solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams of IT technical staff, business stakeholders and 3rd party vendor partners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations comfortably to large groups.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven leadership ability with an emphasis on accountability and conflict management.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Lean and / or Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with implementation and support of enterprise IT business systems such as Oracle EBusiness Suite, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office 365 or similar systems.

Qualifications (Experience and Education)
  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent, required.
  • 5 years experience in administration, functional support, project management within a corporate IT department, required.
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory or management position within a corporate IT department, required.
  • 3+ years experience in agile project management methodology in corporate IT projects, required.
  • Project management certification from PMI or equivalent, preferred.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma experience, required.
  • Fluent in MS Project, Excel and other MS Office applications, required.
  • A combination of training, education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
