Position: Test Engineer IIILocation: Lansdale, PAFull-TimeThis position requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance or higher.The Test Engineer will design, develop, and implement test software and techniques to support integration, qualification and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies and systems for use in electronic warfare systems. This position is located in Lansdale, PA. The EIS engineering team is very strong, encompassing over 100 engineering professionals including systems, software, RF, power amplifier, antenna, mechanical, reliability, test engineers and other specialties, located in Lansdale as well as across several other sites. This role reports to the Test Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong engineering and programming background who has experience as a Test Engineer supporting a diverse product portfolio through all stages of the product lifecycle with proven capabilities to work across functions in a matrix organization to achieve operational results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide test software engineering expertise and support while working collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-site teams as needed to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence delivering results supporting business improvement objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement robust and reliable test software solutions to interface with complex RF subsystems and assemblies in support of a fast-paced product development environment.
  • Implement hardware/software protocols & engineering tools for new product development
  • Develop application test software for multi-board/processor systems with both FPGAs and CPUs
  • Design, develop, and implement intuitive communications interfaces between equipment and the user
  • Assignments are broad and may include developing/evaluating new techniques/plans/procedures.
  • Perform technical assignments of an investigatory nature requiring minimal direction from senior engineering personnel.
  • Interfacing directly with customers to provide suggestions/support to ensure design compliance with requirements
  • Support Engineering and Operations with testing outside the normal test process, create test setups and test procedures as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BSEE or related degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and at least five (5)+ years relevant experience OR Associate’s degree in electronics and at least seven (7)+ years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer designing, developing, and implementing detailed test strategies and test techniques to support the integration and acceptance testing of RF and microwave electronic assemblies, subassemblies and systems
  • (200)+ level course work in or two (2)+ years’ experience with Microsoft .Net environment (C, C#, VB)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge in common HW interfaces/data protocols (e.g. TCPIP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, CAN)
  • Highly proficient in utilizing software debugging and integrity check tools
  • Understanding of computer HW/SW optimization techniques
  • Experience in developing software requirements to meet higher-level system goals
  • Experience with configuration management principles and tools (e.g. SVN, GIT, or ClearCase)
  • Knowledge in the design/development/integration of software drivers for integration with hardware
  • Electronic warfare highly preferred
  • Highly proficient in the measurement and analysis of RF signals in the microwave and millimeter wave domains using various measurement instruments (PNA, Spectrum Analyzers, ENAs, etc.)
  • Proficient in automating acceptance test procedures using VB. NET utilizing established test executive.
  • Familiar with various field automation devices; limit switches, encoders, resolvers, relays, etc.
  • Experience interfacing with and parameters of RF components; switches, amplifiers, analyzers, scopes, etc.
  • Familiarity with DoD industry and DSS security procedures (NISPOM)
  • Familiar with measuring and analyzing RF signals in the microwave and millimeter wave domains
  • Familiarity with DoD industry and DSS security procedures (NISPOM)
  • Active DOD SECRET security clearance or above
