Network Planning Engineer

The Network Planning Engineer will be responsible for ongoing daily monitoring and support of a large enterprise Remote Access Solution. This individual will focus primarily on technical support, including troubleshooting user issues as well as direct interface with the customer for problem resolution via email and telephone. This individual will also be responsible managing user accounts, providing timely and accurate information in support of regular billing, and for the development of user guides and training materials.

• Driving results within internal and external functional teams to maintain, enhance, and resolve issues within the systems, servers, and applications.
• Finding valid metrics and creating reports to monitor health of services and infrastructure.
• Monitoring, analyzing and troubleshooting daily status of the health of infrastructure and services utilizing management and monitoring tools.
• Experience adhering to deadlines and complete tasks on-schedule.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects according to business needs.
• Work well in a diverse team environment and with customers

• AA/AS Degree
• Knowledge of network monitoring protocols/methods such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog
• Knowledge of IP Network protocols
• Understanding of Operating Systems
• Ability to troubleshoot OSI layers 1-7 in COTS environment

• Excellent oral and written communication required. (person will be interfacing directly with the FAA Users/Customers.)
