SUMMARYStampede Ventures Inc., a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated individual with construction safety experience. The candidate will be performing all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model to include assisting with writing plans, safety training, enforcing safety programs, and other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTravel to job sites to conduct a variety of safety related tasks
Review safety procedures and processes with team members onsite (Activity Hazard Analysis)
Certain jobs may require a substantial safety presence
Attend meetings as required
Assist with writing/reviewing/submitting safety documents for Government approval
Ensure regulatory compliance (i.e. OSHA, EM385 1-1, NFPA, ATSSA, ANSI) at the jobsite level
Ability to function as a member of a team
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIESHave existing relationships with Federal government & DoD customers in the Mid-Atlantic
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONRequired (Minimum) QualificationsOSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER Certification (can be obtained after employment)
OSHA 8 hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification (can be obtained after employment)
EM385 1-1 40 hour Certification (can be obtained after employment)
At least five (5) years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction (managing safety programs, processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
If the candidate has a third party, nationally accredited safety, and occupational health related certification, only 4 of experience is needed. Certifications include:

Certified Hazardous Materials Manager
Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner
Construction Health and Safety Technologist
Certified Mine Safety Professional
Certified Occupational Health Nurse

Certified Safety Professional
Occupational Health and Safety Technologist
Safety Trained Supervisor
Maintain up-to-date in training with 24 hours of continuous training
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with the Microsoft Suite
Current favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR 380-67
Valid Driver’s License

During visits to construction job sites, the individual may be exposed to: extreme cold or hot weather conditions, hazardous noise, fall hazards, heights in excess of 10 feet, confined spaces, excavations, live traffic, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, hazardous materials, unexploded ordinance, and dimly lit areas.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervisory responsibilities will be in the review of currently established practices, with an emphasis of ways to keep team members safe while performing a range of activities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORSAs a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/fromwork a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations. May be required to pass a medical physical evaluation.Shareholder Preference.
