Responsibilities:The Workday Finance Business Analyst will perform the below responsibilities:To ensure success, this role will partner closely with the Project Finance Lead. The major areas of the Finance team will be:
  • Labor cost distribution via Costing Allocations and Projects for timesheet allocation.
  • The accounting of payroll earnings, expenditures and deductions and corresponding revenue and balance sheet account postings via the Account Posting Rules and corresponding Costing Allocation tables and financial integrations.
  • Summarized and detailed reporting of payroll expenditures.
  • Data conversion of financial elements from Legacy systems.
  • Qualifications:The Workday Business Analyst will have the below Qualifications:This role will serve in a critical role to support the Finance Team in data validation, accounting and processing of payroll journals and implementation of the labor cost distribution model for the State of Maine. Maine State government will be retiring its legacy HR system and moving to Workday. This change will be significant to the State and affects every employee.This role supports the Finance Lead, who is ultimately responsible for data conversion of legacy labor cost distribution elements and payroll expense/revenue/balance sheeting posting logic as well as the managing of the Statistic and Costing Allocation tables within Workday.This supporting role requires critical thinking, organizational skills, communication skills, and a high level of analytical skills.

    Heavy Finance background (understanding of Accounting practices within Payroll) along with a strong understanding of ERP systems, doesn't necessarily have to have Workday experience, would be preferred if candidate has Workday Finance experience specifically with payroll module (labor costs and payroll).
