Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of forklift experience
Excellent customer service skills
Strong team player
Efficient communication skills
Ability to manage time and set priorities
Abide by Bluegrass’ Value Standards at all times
Follow processes and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Possess and valid driver’s license (forklift certification will be provided)
Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and reasonable amount of hand dexterity and visual acuity
Perform repetitive tasks in a standardized pattern
Quickly and accurately read printed labels
Identify, report and/or correct any potential safety hazards in the facility
Communicate suggestions for improvements in work processes
Work effectively with others (coworkers and customers) in a fast-paced team environment
Adaptable to change
Be available for overtime and local travel as business needs require
Physical Requirements:
Forklift Operators must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours) on unpadded floors and will occasionally be required to bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull and grasp. Additionally, Forklift Operators will occasionally be required to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Eye/hand coordination is also require. Exposure to chemical hazards, electrical hazards, sharp objects/tools, noise and vibration are anticipated. Must be able to work without restrictions on bending, crouching, kneeling, or any other mobility.
