ES Business Dev Manager / Sales EngineerUnited StatesNew1 additional locationBrookfield, Wisconsin, United StatesFacilities Management/Engineering/MaintenanceRequisition # 20027949Post Date 3 hours agoThis position is able to be remoteThe Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting smaller projects from existing clients which the originating Business Development Executive (BDE) is unable to support or has responsibility for other project/requests from existing clients as may be required or assigned. The Sales Engineer functions as a Sales Representative in all aspects other than business development for new clients.Principle Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with assigned Business Development Executive (BDE) in support of their assigned regions/clients When assigned an opportunity, uncover and fully understand the client’s current state, desired state and needs in order to develop a strategic plan to achieve the client’s goals Coordinate meetings, discovery sessions and presentations with clients to convey the organization’s value proposition Identify subject matter experts within the organization necessary to develop a complete client solution and coordinate their involvement with the sales engagement to include: SA, PM, PD, AE, AD, SE and Estimating Manage customer expectations, negotiate and resolve any discrepancies and conflicts Follow company standards with regard to accurate and timely data entry into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system Properly manage the assigned activity pipeline which will allow you to report on your sales activity Work with the Estimating and Solutions Architect teams in developing accurate and detailed material and labor estimates for inclusion in proposals Work with the Estimating and Solutions Architect teams in developing an accurate and detailed statements of work for inclusion in proposals Prepare and deliver effective, detailed, professional sales proposals and communicate them to all levels of a customer’s organization Provide timely and responsive replies to clients, vendors and co-workers Upon a signed contract or issuance of a purchase order, construct booking/sales packets and submit these to the Operations Department for project implementation Maintain ongoing communication and updates with the BDE for any of their clients you are engaged with – project updates, client issues, risks, needs, sales/opportunity status, etc. Prepare collateral for client presentations; Power Point, demos, schematics, riser diagrams, etc. Assist in managing existing customer accounts with responsibility for account growth and profit margin Develop client relationships to maintain long-term relationships Maintain company standard profit margins in all sales Travel as required to advance and solidify client engagementsQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Be versed in sales processes, theories and application including facilitation of ideation sessions Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use and operations of Windows-based computers Must possess a working knowledge of computer-based word processors such as Microsoft Word Must possess a working knowledge of computer-based spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel Must be capable of learning new computer software programs and processes Must possess a working knowledge of communication networks Must be familiar with basic contract language, negotiation and management Must be familiar with basic financial terms and concepts as they relate to contracts, proposals, and providing consultation to the customerCERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESNoneCOMMUNICATION SKILLSA valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. Must be able to read and understand HVAC/R and process mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, etc.Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use and operations of Windows-based computers.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYMust possess a good working knowledge of communication networks including device-bus level protocols as well as Ethernet networks and related equipment.Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results.
