Admin Support, Level 1, 2 or 3 (Based on qualifications/exp.)DescriptionImportant responsibilities in helping keep our communities healthy!Administrative Support, Level 1, 2 or 3( Based on qualifications/experience)# Minimum Annual Starting Salary Pay Grade C: $20,571 Minimum Annual Starting Salary Pay Grade D: $22,630 Minimum Annual Starting Salary Pay Grade E: $24,630 General Nature of WorkPerforms administrative, clerical, and secretarial functions in support of the Thomas Co. Health Department. Duties include: providing outstanding customer service, collecting fees, performing basic bookkeeping; communicating with the public and employees to answer questions and provide information; completing paperwork and reports; answering telephone calls, making appointments, and taking messages; compiling, sorting, and filing office records; maintaining filing and database systems manually and using a computer; preparing and handling correspondence and other documents; reviewing files, records, and other documents to determine immunization status, what services are needed, and to assure quality; determining eligibility and enrolling participants and patients into various Public Health programs. This position may require working with Vital Records to record death certificates and issuing both birth and death certificates.This position may also require driving company vehicles (Valid driver’s license required) and working some evenings and weekends during special events such as health fairs and responding to disasters. May be assigned to assist in other counties in the district. Maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security and provides exceptional customer service.Physical Requirement(s): Occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs.Minimum QualificationsAdmin Support Level 1—High school diploma or GED AND ability to perform basic office functions and computer related dutiesPreferred QualificationsCompletion of an associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university

Experience entering and retrieving information in the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transaction Services (GRITS) database
