Role / ResponsibilitiesThe Director of People and Culture will partner with Organizational Development, and department Directors and Managers to ensure a best-in-class recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process including utilization of the Onboarding process within the HRIS.
  • Partner with Vice President to set and execute the strategic direction for recruitment, hiring and onboarding initiatives.
  • Expand recruitment efforts to ensure a top pool of candidates for each position. Partner with People Supervisor to ensure a seamless recruitment and hiring process for every candidate and new employee.
  • Review and revise the onboarding process including initial new hire onboarding, key department onboarding programs and the full 2-day orientation program.
  • Work with OD on performance management, specifically as it relates to training and development. Develop learning paths for a variety of positions with a primary focus on developing individuals to their next career level.
  • Review training vendors and programs and develop internally taught courses that support the learning paths.
  • Partner with OD to drive performance management initiatives and assist in the creation of succession plans.
  • As a member of the People and Culture team, partner with team members to continually innovate to build and grow company culture. Review employee data to enhance and improve People Culture programs and employee experience.
  • Lead annual budget forecasting and department budget reconciliation monthly. Plan for and bid capital projects to enhance the operation of assigned areas and/or the company.
  • Working with all members of the People team, ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and local employment laws and regulations. Research and implement new legislation as assigned.
  • Prepare and give performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Assist with employee culture activities and events, actively participating and encouraging the participation of other senior management staff. Be the liaison to the Culture Committee.
  • Oversee HR analytics and reporting including annual EEO-I report, residency statistics and hiring and turnover statistics.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of company organizational charts within the HRIS.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and supervise direct reports.

Qualifications
  • Education: bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Professional certification as a PHR or SPHR from the HR Certification Institute or SHRM-CP/SCP required.
  • Experience working in Human Resources including 3-5 years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Prior experience in Organizational Development highly desired.
  • Prior proven experience with current recruiting strategies and onboarding is required.
  • Prior proven experience in the development of learning paths and development of training programs required. Must possess prior experience development of training coursework and personally conducting successful training classes.
  • Must possess prior experience in the development of appraisal systems.
  • Must possess a complete working knowledge of current State and Federal employment law.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of HRIS systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
  • Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to prepare written material, presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills. The ability to handle competing priorities is essential.
  • Prior experience managing employees in a multi-state environment preferred.
  • Must possess mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.
