Mobility) Wireless Network Systems Engineer and here is your chance to learn what the GDT hype is about. As the Wireless NSE, you will work with a broad range of solutions such as smart city projects, CMX technologies, IoT and WLAN. You will expand your technical reach to include Cisco, Meraki, Mist, and Aruba, just to name a few. You will work in the field performing site surveys, conducting field turn-ups, but also assisting other team members with troubleshooting environments. This role is not for the timid or the single-task minded, and the successful

Wireless NSE will believe in total ownership of projects and “Deliver Exceptional”. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the brightest minds in the industry (as part of the wolf pack), while working independently (lone-wolf) on certain tasks.

The “must haves” for this role:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in successfully delivering large / complex projects specific to Cisco wireless technologies.
  • Developing standardized customer deliverables
  • Experience working in Cisco Partner / VAR / Professional Services environment is a strong plus.
  • Expert troubleshooting experience required to solve complex Cisco Wireless / Mobility issues.
  • Expert experience with the various Cisco Mobility solutions. This experience should include building, upgrading and maintaining Cisco solutions from the ground up.
  • Highly skilled at technical writing and documentation.
  • Highly skilled in using Visio and other network documentation and discovery software.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  • Work closely with Sr. WLAN engineers and customers to review WLAN designs and implementation strategies.
  • Certifications related to wireless technologies such as CCNP, CWNE, CWDP, CCDP preferred.
Technical

“must haves” for this role:
  • Knowledge of wireless engineering tools such as Ekahau Surveyor Pro or Fluke AirMagnet Survey Pro, OmniPeek, Cisco Spectrum Expert, and Fluke Spectrum XT.
  • Experience in secure mobility design, and voice/video over WLAN Delivery / Implementation.
  • Understanding QoS and how to design/deploy QoS.
  • Deep knowledge of WLC feature set, design, configuration, and deep-dive troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of enterprise based wireless components.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise routing/switching.
  • Strong understanding of general network security.
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of ISE and MSEs appliances
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of 802.11a/b/g/n technology with primary focus on Cisco Unified Wireless Network.
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of wireless guest access.
  • Implementation and troubleshooting of Active/Passive RFID technology.
  • Implementation and troubleshooting WCS/NCS/Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
  • Implementation and troubleshooting Mobility Services Engine. Experience with CMX features a plus.
  • Perform wireless site surveys and network assessments.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments.
