Tactica Solutions is seeking a qualified Budget-Program Analyst to support corporate initiatives and to provide Staff Operations support to the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade (MIB). This is a remote, Senior-level position with a requirement for occasional travel supporting a Government site effort at Ft. Gordon, GA.
Typical Job Duties and Tasks: Candidate may be tasked to provide assistance to any of the following activities in support of the Brigade S3 office:- Analyze functional planning and program guidance to ascertain and accommodate impact on logistics resources.
- Appraise the utilization of resources in accomplishing overall logistical program goals and objectives.
- Support analysis of budgetary concerns as a result of unforeseen changes in allocation, mission requirements, and/or loss of funds to ensure the organization can execute its program goals
- Analyze, provide recommendations, and advise staff on issues with budget execution
- As required, attend and/or represent the Brigade in meetings, video teleconferences, working groups, forums, and technical exchanges
- Prepare briefings and presentations in support of Brigade requirements or as directed by Brigade S-3 staff
- Developing and continuously updating cost estimates, spend plans, and expenditure of funds profiles
- Supporting development and timely submission of status reports
- Other administrative support functions, as necessary
- Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience supporting DoD programs or contracts
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be willing to maintain flexible work schedule and respond quickly to urgent or ad hoc requests for support or information
- Experience monitoring funds execution; creating financial reports, spend plans, or cost proposals; analyzing budget estimates, and/or managing and executing fiscal appropriations
- Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and procedures of the federal budget process, Army and DoD regulations, policies, and/or methodology
- Skill in identification, analysis, and conceptualization of budgetary problems and the development of new methods, approaches or procedures to resolve those problems.
- Skill to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide advice and guidance to staff on budgetary matters.
- Financial certifications such as DAU Financial Management or experience with Army contracts, purchasing, and/or General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) a plus.
