Job Description

  • Manage theclinical, administrative, and technical supervisionof a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate withthe court-basedClinical Supervisorresponsible for centralizedscreening and assessment operations forprogram intakes to ensure participants receiveintensive services afterprogram intake and are fully engagedfollowingthetransition from jail to community.
  • Effectively use the Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability (START) assessment todevelopand initiateparticipant’sindividualizedprogram and supervision plan,based on the assessment of risk and needsand attentive to strengths and assets.
  • Ensurestaff engagement andcompliancewith START, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interactive Journaling (IJ),andComprehensive Clinical Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CCDBT) traininginstitutes to achieveproficiency standards.
  • Ensure the team provides excellent evidence-based services, includingcollaborating effectively with the Nathaniel Clinic main and co-located satellite sites,for the delivery of jointlycoordinated treatment services.
  • Oversee effective violence risk management in the treatment services delivered by the team to reduceparticipant risk for violence.
  • Manage theprogressreporting of participants’ status in theATIprogram,overseeing court reportingforparticipants’courtmonitoringappearances.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with criminal legal stakeholders (judges, defense bar,andprosecutors, etc.) and provideeffective, timely, and accuratecommunication about services delivered to participants.
  • Lead staff organizational meetings to regularly review participant progress using a team-based approach along withclinical staff meetings for comprehensive service planning, staff training,and supervision.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled management meetings with other NCS Team Leaders and the Director of NCS.
  • Promote staff safety in the delivery of community-based treatment,ensuringstaff are trained in community safety and routinely follow the safety plan.
  • Coordinateand participateinthe on-call schedule andprovideconsultation for team members during "after hours"emergency coverage.
  • Lead the coordination of care with contracted subcontractors, includinghousing, education,andvocational and employment providers.
  • Participate inquarterly reporting,quality assurance, program fidelity,and continuous qualityimprovementactivitieswiththeNCSDirector and theDirectorofATIImplementation and Fidelitytoanalyze program services, trends, and outcomes; specific to the results of these analyses,implement corrective action/process improvement plans.
  • Utilizeand valueparticipantand family member/significant otherinput to inform, revise,and shapeprogramoperations.
  • Other duties as required by theDirector and Senior Director.

Qualifications

  • LMSW, LMHC,LCSW,PsyDorPhD, preferPsyD or PhDwith forensic training.
  • 3+ years ofleadership experiencein mental healthand/or criminal justicewith a verifiable record of accomplishment in managing multiple programs.
  • 3+ years of experiencewith comprehensivemental healthtreatment.
  • Strong interpersonal skillsandemotional intelligence.
  • Highly developedmanagement,analytical, and motivationalskills.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Record of accomplishment in delivering sustained quality treatment services.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse team and remain highly organized.
  • Proficient in computersand electronic record,preferablySalesforce.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strongpersonal and/or professionalexperience in and/or knowledge of Manhattan preferred.
