HireArt is helping a leading AI & robotics company hire a skilled Graphical User Interface Developer. In this role, you’ll develop GUI tools for researchers running user studies on autonomous vehicles. You’ll collaborate with other software engineers, designers, and researchers to quickly prototype novel interface ideas. The ideal candidate has a strong background in interactive GUI development and a diverse skill set including React, NodeJS, pyQt/Pyside, C, and Python.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

5+ years of experience in interactive GUI development

Strong skillset in GUI development using pyQt/PySide

Strong knowledge of React, NodeJS, and Git

Experience in a variety of toolkits and platforms (Qt, GTK+, Android, Web, etc.)

Basic understanding of 3D and 2D mathematics

Programming experience using OpenGL and/or OpenCV

Skills in C and Python in a Linux environment

Good software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style conformity, and code review

Desired qualifications: Experience in application development using ROS

Experience in visualizing robotics and automotive sensor data and/or biometric data

Commitment: This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 1-year contract position staffed via HireArt and is fully remote. Some domestic travel is required (< 20%).
