Project Overview:Enterprise Functions Technology is seeking resources to join the Enterprise Resiliency team to support initiatives focused on improving preparedness and response to a large data corruption incident. The overall group is responsible for delivering capabilities that will mature data resiliency across Client. This group will be the core team and partner with key stakeholders across the bank to define solution requirements and manage delivery (for example, defining new offline backup requirements to meet data corruption program standards by working with technology infrastructure (TI). TI would then deliver the necessary technology capabilities.

Must have skills/experience:
  • Experience partnering with technology teams, including application owners, technology infrastructure, engineering, and architecture to define target state requirements and identify accountable owners within the respective teams to owner delivery
  • Experience working on technical processes and working across a variety of enterprise technology groups. Technology experience required in technology resiliency, data management / lineage, and business continuity / disaster recovery
  • Experience communicating program requirements, issues/risks, and ensures milestones are tracking to completion
  • Having an understanding of operating in an agile delivery methodology is highly preferred
  • Must have strong attention to detail and execution management to ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and coordination
  • Must maintain a results-driven attitude and commitment to quality work

Example of day to day task: Data corruption team will coordinate with engineering, architecture, and application teams to identify a minimum viable dataset for critical applications that are unable to meet their business recovery times post a data corruption incident. The minimum viable dataset would allow the application to recover more timely by only recovering the data that is critical to operate. Team would define standards, plan for which applications to target for changes, coordinate with stakeholders to align on the plan, partner with stakeholders as they deliver the plan.

Pods/Projects:
  • Data Backup/Recovery Segmentation (Will work closely with the Technology Infrastructure and Engineering teams)
  • Offline Data Back-Up/Detection Enablement (Work with teams to establish an offline backup plan in the data center and infuse machine learning to detect and recover data)
  • Real Time Data Back-Up (Client is currently utilizing Splunk here - they want to determine if they should incorporate new tools and capabilities)
  • Batch Time Data Back-Up (Identifying what Client can do to elevate their detection enablement processes)
  • Data Flow (Focus on Data Lineage, Data Linage, Disaster Recovery, and Data Resiliency)
