Project Assistant.

Position Details:

Industry: Aerospace and Defense company

Work Location: St. Petersburg, FL – 33716

Job Title: Project Assistant - Material/Inventory

Duration: 03–06 months (extensions/conversion based on performance)

Manager’s Note:
  • Interviews will start in January. Manager reviewing resumes after shut down.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent, plus minimum of 2-5 years of data entry experience required.
  • Associates or 2 years of post high school education preferred but not required.
  • Hours: 1st shift. Standard hours 7:30-4:30 with Flexibility on start and end times.
  • Candidate will start remote, but will need to be Cedar Rapids local in the event they need to come onsite.
  • Will most likely be able to work mostly remote after COVID restrictions are lifted.
  • Candidate must have strong data entry and computer skills - these are non-negotiable.
  • SAP experience preferred (3-4 years is ideal).
  • Ariba experience preferred but not required.
  • Ideal candidate would have 3-4 years of experience working in the Aerospace and/or defense industry.

Job Responsibilities:
  • The contractor will be responsible for assisting engineers with hardware development support.
  • This person will be the engineering build and material coordinator as well as the engineering liaison.
  • Primary tasks for this position includes ordering and kitting of parts, tracking accountable devices, managing short lead time requests, creating and managing parts tracking spreadsheets, working with purchasing to obtain quotes and lead times, coordinating shipments, working with Customer Owned Property and other general support as requested within the hardware engineering teams.

Required Skills:
  • MS Excel
  • Tool -experience desired but not required: ALM, SAP, DOORS, Jama, Subversion, and email/G Docs
