REQ#: RQ70099Travel Required: Less than 10% Public Trust: None Requisition Type: Regular GDIT is seeking a QA Analyst to join our team in support of The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Office of Financial Resources (OFR) to implement an Acquisition Management System (AMS). GDIT will acquire, configure, implement, and provide go-live support, providing a low-code commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.To implement the AMS, the overall team will be engaged in all aspects of the deployment from requirements gathering, architectural design, software configuration and development, testing, implementation and deployment support, change management, training, data migration, data management, and post go-live support. This opportunity can work 100% remotely from home. Ideally we would like someone to be located near the CDC customer off Clifton Rd in Atlanta GA. However, we are most interested in finding the most qualified candidate and open to homebased nationwide.Requirements:

  • Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of databases to join our team.
  • Skilled in problem solving, communication and analysis.
  • Plan, coordinate, analyze and develop test plans, scripts, test cases and test data for functional testing.
  • Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans
  • Execute functional test plans manually and conduct testing
  • Identify potential quality issues and escalate/report issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure software deliverables are meeting functional specifications and requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Required skills and experience:
  • BS and 5+ years of experience. (Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area is preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant QA experience in software development
  • 5+ years of experience in database testing including creating and manipulating test data
  • Strong understanding of database structures and design
  • Experience in documenting testing processes
  • In depth experience working amongst development teams, project management and stakeholders
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
Desired skills and experience:
  • Experience working in an Agile development team is preferred
  • Experience in converting from manual testing to automated testing is a plus
  • Superior technical documentation skills
