job summary:
Project Overview:- Manage technical relationships with a select client portfolio.
- Work with Sales to identify business opportunities leveraging both display and performance solutions supported by the team.
- Collect requirements, provide guidance and best practices to apply ad products and technologies to achieve advertisers' business goals.
- Design and implement complex, cross-product customized solutions with the client.
- Be responsible for end-to-end implementations and escalations handled by other Google teams for named accounts.
- Help others deploy Google technology: Provide software support for bespoke software solutions.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of industry experience in technical support, professional services, engineering, sustaining engineering, or systems engineering.
- 3 years of industry experience with C, SQL or JAVA
- 3 years of experience with Linux/Unix
- 3 years programming experience in Python, C, Java, or PHP.
- 2 years of experience with web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, etc. Customer-facing experience in sales, sales engineering, consulting or related functions.
- Experience developing web-based geospatial applications in JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby, or other interpreted languages.
- Experience with SQL data analysis, open-source development practices (version control, issue tracking) Good foundation in HTTP 1.1, XML, HTML5, and JSON; experience working with APIs; strong familiarity with CSS.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking (able to read a packet trace, familiar with steps to setup and teardown TCP/IP connections, able to understand and optimize corporate network architecture).
- Good understanding of Linux system administration (automating tasks via scripting in languages like bash, Python, Perl; use of utilities like cron, iostat, netstat; familiarity with runlevels/proc).
- Analyze software problems: Provide API, SDK, software troubleshooting leveraging Google infrastructure for Work users: debug customer applications, provide software architecture guidance to developers and OEMs, and handle business, product, or technical questions via phone, web, email, or pager.
- Resolve technical issues at root cause: Identify and document bugs and feature requests affecting developers; implement effective solutions to their problems along business-appropriate time lines; author documentation and code samples; fix product bugs and implement feature requests.
- Improve and innovate Google's Maps software and solutions: Work closely with Google developers, product managers, and technical Sales teams to improve Maps for Work products; influence product design, develop product code, and/or participate in contract negotiations.
