job summary:Our in-store Marketing client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team! The DevOps Engineer will work remotely, 40 hours/week, in a contract to hire capacity. They'll work cross-functionally to ensure infrastructure is performing optimally and internal processes are efficient & effective.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate across teams & partners to establish DevOps & Monitoring processes
- Own monitoring & alerting roadmaps & services; Prometheus, New Relic
- Respond to incidents and infrastructure issues that impact ability to deliver services
- Manage systems administration work & day to day server responsibilities
- Ensure public servers have the latest software updates & SSL Certificate renewal has been planned
- 3+ years as a DevOps Engineer, experience with process implementation
- Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows servers
- Experience with Redhat based systems
- Commands: scp, rsync, apt, yum, .bat, sudo, cat, vim
- Experience with web server technology such as Apache or Nginx
- Experience with dashboarding tools such as Grafana, New Relic; Prometheus a plus
- Intermediate to advanced Bash scripting with some Ruby and My/SQL
- Excellent written & verbal communication working internally & externally with stakeholders & partners
- Monitor alerts, respond to incidents and ensure continuous service delivery
- Own and work against monitoring and alerting roadmaps
- Owns Prometheus, NetRelic and other monitoring and alerting services
- Respond to infrastructure issues that impact ability to deliver services
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
