Experienced Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer (Control Systems Analysis & Design)Job DescriptionThe Boeing Company is actively recruiting for a Experienced Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer (Level 3) in the Hill AFB, UT area. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. Selected candidates will support Sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GN&C, performance analysis and simulation solutions. The selected candidates will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise. In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.Job Description SummaryGathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements. Performs and documents design and analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) models and tools. Supports troubleshooting of routing operational anomalies, functional tests and services incidents. Executes tests, performs analysis or simulation and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC and NASA guidance to deliver a compliant product. Supports development of solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Participates in new business development efforts. Works under general supervision.Develops and assess system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C), sustainment requirements definition.

Perform & document analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools.

Support reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

Performs testing and troubleshooting of sustainment related products / service anomalies and incidents.

Participate in Minuteman III Guidance efforts to ensure End of Life (EOL) can be sustained or surpassed.

Works independently or under little supervision

Basic/Required Qualifications:This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret or higher U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Engineering or Mathematics Bachelor Degree or higher

5 years or more experience with aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, autonomous platform or similar vehicle in Control Systems or Guidance, Navigation and Control System design

5 years or more experience or using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX or similar systems to model systems.

5 years or more experience Post Flight Analysis procedures and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:Secret US Security Clearance

5 years or more experience with simulation and/or system/component modeling

5 years or more experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques

2 years or more experience in computer programming in C, C#, C, Ada or other common programming languages

Typical Education/Experience:Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with 2 or more years’ experience or PhD with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
