HireArt is helping TRI hire a skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer. In this role, you’ll work closely with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) researchers to build tooling and experiment software for use in labs and in autonomous research vehicles. As Full Stack Engineer, you’ll also: Work with system engineers to architect flexible software implementations.

Work with autonomous-driving engineering teams to negotiate APIs and integrate vehicle information into interfaces.

Work with front end developers to create software interfaces for new hardware.

Requirements

M.S. in computer science, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer

Experience in developing in ROS

Experience in raw sensor data handling for automotive and/or robotics fields

Basic understanding of electronics design and debugging

Experience in graphical interface development using Qt (or PyQt) and/or OpenGL and/or Unity

Strong skills in Python, C, C, and development tools in Linux.

Strong understanding of networking, network protocols, and linux server administration

Previous experience working on large software projects

Good software practices that produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style conformity, and code review

Desired qualifications: Experience in HMI or human factor related projects

Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms, computer vision, point cloud processing, and android development

Commitment: This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 1-year contract position staffed via HireArt and is fully remote. HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
