REQ#: RQ73947 Senior Solutions Architect (Open)Travel Required: Less than 10% Public Trust: NACI (T1) Requisition Type: Regular Job DescriptionGDIT is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership and support in the areas of growth/proposals, and solution specification/design for our CDC Account in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will need to possess strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions; and have significant experience designing and developing technical solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Lead winning solution development for growth opportunities
  • Perform solution scans and designing and estimating the cost of technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of growth opportunities Work with the customer CIO and GDIT project staff to facilitate IT strategic planning.
  • Act as the primary technical resource for the Account director.
  • Work with business area directors and division growth solution architects to develop and grow our technical enterprise, support GDITs Innovate Everywhere strategy and develop teams to support smaller business area lead growth opportunities.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical support to assist business areas and programs in retaining and growing both new and current work
  • Provide business area and sector and leadership feedback by measuring the success of delivery and organic growth initiatives
  • Coordinate reach back with technical subject matter experts (SME) within GDIT to obtain specific knowledge or expertise to address technical issues.
  • Prepare and develop proposal content to articulate GDIT solutions, provide written material as needed, and develop bill-of-materials (BOM) if required
  • Lead and participate in development of proposals and associated subject matter, and participate in color reviews
  • Develop realistic staffing plans along with supporting basis of estimates (BOE)
  • Respond to technical questions and research requests from customers and programs. Perform business case analysis to support decision making process. Build and maintain relationships across all GDIT business units to ensure alignment with program capture, program execution, and other line of business services.
  • Understand impact of internal decisions on customer & vendor relationships & plans accordingly
  • Build & maintain relationships with key vendor partners to incorporate technology & capability Sector growth pipelines.
  • Actively identify, monitor and incorporate industry & vend
Qualifications
  • BA/BS
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of information technology, including all layers of the IT stack.
  • Experience implementing any of the following capabilities:
    • Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
    • No code/low code iBPM and/or CRM solutions
    • ITSM Automation & Orchestration
    • Big data analytics, data warehousing, data lake
    • Machine Learning & AI
    • Large scale cloud migration (application, data, infrastructure) [Preferred]
    • Next-gen cyber defense capabilities (e.g. proactive threat detection & automated response)
  • Solution architecture experience.
  • Ability to work independently or part of a cross functional team.
  • Ability to lead projects / proposals and provide technical oversight to ensure alignment with strategic goals & objectives.
  • Maintain technical proficiency by keeping current with the latest technologies, trends, standards, & products.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS software application products.
  • Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions.
  • Prior work experience with HHS agencies (CDC, CMS, FDA, NIH, HRSA, etc.), the Veterans Administration and/or the Defense Health Agency.
Desired Qualifications:
  • CDC Solution Architecture experience is a plus.
