IMMEDIATE HIRE::: RELEASE TRAIN ENGINEER ST. LOUIS, MO, LONG TERM CONTRACT Description: Client is looking for a senior Agile Release Train Engineer for its release train. As a Agile Release Train Engineer you will work closely with Product Owners, Customer Stakeholders, UST Management, Business Owners, Product Managers, Product Architects, and others to lead and optimize the flow of value the ART delivers. You will mentor and support all areas of the ART using metrics and tools to ensure performance visibility. The team is in the onsite-offshore model in different time zones, and so will require some flexibility from the from the RTM to coordinate with the team at different times. Ability to communicate well via Google Hangouts, Zoom, Email, phone is required. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, flexible and a team player. Responsibilities: Take responsibility for Agile Release Train (ART) processes and standards, program-level planning, execution and continual improvement. Facilitate Scrum-of-Scrum forum, manages program-level impediments and risks, and ensure the Release Train stays on track for program-level initiatives and features delivery. Plan and facilitate PI planning event Review and track sprint board, backlog and deliveries from the team Ensure transparency about the ART's delivery, risks, and accomplishments. Manage and track Agile metrices and score cards Ensure optimal guidance and excellence for the teams by coaching and developing the Scrum Masters and align the way of working across teams Drives program-level continual improvement and consistency across Agile Release Train via retrospectives and Scrum-of-Scrums forums. Facilitate program feature grooming and manage program-level backlog. Facilitate program-level dependencies with other Release Trains and shared services. Works with Product Owners, Scrum teams to help mentor teams in alignment to SAFe principles and practices Escalates and tracks impediments Helps manage risks and dependencies Attends System Demos and Solution Demos Coaches leaders, teams and Scrum Masters on lean-agile practices and methods Work closely with offshore development/delivery manager Plan, coordinate and own the releases Act as a liaison between different stakeholders Requirements & Qualifications: Proven, prior experience as Release Train Engineer for long lived value streams and Products A minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience as a Project Manager or Devilry Manager A minimum of 15 plus years of expertise in IT industry in various role Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural teams. Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an Agile environment. Prior experience working in onsite-offshore model, communicating and coordinating with offshore (India) team A Bachelor's degree in a technically related field, or equivalent experience Training and/or certification as a Scrum Master by an educational or professional association Previous experience engaging partners, contributors and technical resources to deliver software, support and maintain existing applications Proven and in-depth understanding and experience in Agile development and continuous deployment practices Solid grasp of Scaled Agile, (SAFe) release, and increments Project expertise with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), ServiceNow, Aha! tools Strong communication skills, with ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrable understanding of current technologies with the ability to develop and deliver projects using groundbreaking technologies Strong organization and time management skills Solid people management and stake holder skills, and ability to work effectively with others, and empower employees Proven success in the conduct of Agile software development for complex information technology systems.
