Job Summary

The Imaging Services Receptionist/Scheduler supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality greeting and registering patients who are seeking Imaging services. Schedules patients for imaging studies and procedures, as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Experience in a clerical setting demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy balanced with data entry speed
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology or successful completion of medical terminology course (in YRMC LMS system) within six months of hire
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to patients, visitors, staff, physicians and all others within the Imaging Services Department and the hospital
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical background
  • One year admitting or scheduling experience in a healthcare setting
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred

Must pass pre-employment screening
