Position title: Senior Systems EngineerPhoenix, AZ - IT - AZDOR - N/A - Senior Systems Engineer – AZ- 78306Duration: 6 Months+Location: 1600 W Monroe, Phoenix, AZ – 85007 (Local Only Candidates)Only W2 Candidates Welcome to Apply!The selected resource may be required to go onsite for the first day. Selected resource must be willing to go onsite. The position will primarily be worked remotely, until the agency returns to working in the office. At that time the expectation is that they will work 100% in the office.Remote during the pandemic, will be onsite once return to work is issued. Description of Duties:- Communicate clearly with peers as well as management and provide technical leadership to junior admins- Perform hands-on analysis of the production systems, fault resolution, capacity planning and root cause analysis for critical issues- Analyze and resolve performance issues, capacity issues- Proactively monitor the systems to ensure high availability services with minimum downtime- Participate in on-call rotation supporting systems after-hours, weekends and holidays- Manage and escalate cases to vendors for problem resolution- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required- Build tools to automate processes and operate production systems- Act and work both independently and in a team environment- Performs all other job related duties as requested- Expert technical leadership in the design, implementation and management of our network environment- Management of network related cloud hosted components- Strong understanding of data center design and principles - hosting experience a plus- Ability to plan, scope and estimate work effort to produce high quality deliverables on time/on budget- Expert level understanding of network security- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to speak clearly and with authority- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts quickly and efficiently- Highly solution focused; strong sense of urgency with a passion for 100% availabilityTechnology and Skill Level:Firewall - AdvancedLoad Balancing - AdvancedSwitching - AdvancedSystem Monitoring - AdvancedIRS Pub 1075 - IntermediateCIS - Intermediate
