Job Description

The

Food & Beverage Inventory Supervisor is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels, purchasing, and receiving food and beverage items and all necessary tools, products, non-food items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure that all food and beverage items are available and in a ready to use form.
  • Responsible for receiving, storing, transferring, and rotating food and beverage items.
  • Produces and distributes all necessary documents to support the receiving, storing, transferring or returning of any food and beverage items.
  • Audits incoming shipments and packing slips for quality and accuracy; Rejects inaccurate or unacceptable shipments and informs the Food & Beverage team of any order discrepancies or issues.
  • Identifies and communicates items with low inventory and other department needs to department Manager.
  • Establishes and maintains order in the dry storage areas, food and non-food and the walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Monitor expiration dates and business volume.
  • Responsible for training and scheduling of direct reports.
  • Assist in the physical count of all inventory items.
  • Knows and follows all company, Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Programs and policies.
  • Works extra shifts and hours as required.
  • Assists in other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A valid Driver’s License is preferred and may be required.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English effectively.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to determine department needs based on inventory levels and business volume.
  • Ability to use production records, take an inventory, and use an order catalogue.
  • Great organizational, spatial awareness, and logistical skills.
  • Ability to accomplish common tasks with little direct supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:

  • Must be able to understand normal conversation and accurately communicate information.
  • Ability to stand and walk on paved, unpaved, uneven and sometimes slippery surfaces for extended periods of time; Climb stairs and ladders frequently.
  • Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp, and reach down, forward and overhead repetitively.
  • Ability to perform manual physical labor inside and outside even in inclement weather.
  • Ability to handle, grasp, and rotate food and beverage products.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently; Visual acuity to recognize and complete repairs safely.
  • The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions: Adverse conditions may include extreme heat and/or cold, wind, humidity and sometimes inclement weather.
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and 2 years of shipping and receiving, inventory/warehouse, or related work experience, or equivalent combination of work experience and education required.
  • Previous experience in purchasing and/or accounting preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
