Banyan Botanicals: Accounting Assistant & Financial Data Analyst

Banyan Botanicals is looking for a a skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our accounting team who can interpret data to provide insight to key stakeholders. A strong understanding of relational databases is required as well as the ability to manipulate multiple data sources into clean, accurate, and actionable reports/dashboards. To perform this job successfully, the Financial Data Analyst must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position will be based at our Albuquerque office with the option for remote work until the end of year or longer.

Primary Duties

- Compiling and analyzing data from multiple data systems.

- Identify improvements and efficiencies in both operations and financial reporting.

- Assist with improving financial reporting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

- Strong ability to determine how raw data needs to be structured in order to produce high-level aggregated reports in specific layouts.

- Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret data

- Transform complex data sets into easy-to-use metrics in a data visualization platform (Excel, Plan guru, Smartsheets and other visualization tools)

Qualifications

- Intermediate to Advanced expertise in MS Excel

- Experience working in Quick books

- Understanding of sales tax laws and regulations

- Experience in budgeting

- Ability to handle stressful situations

- Must have a positive attitude

- Must have great people skills

Education

- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college or university

Physical requirements (not limited to)

- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30 lbs.

-Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces.

- Must be able to see and hear.

- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

- Must be able to work around moderate noise level.

- Must be computer proficient.
