job summary:

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: BS/BA in computer science, software engineering or mathematics.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum four years of experience in design, development, administration, troubleshooting of advanced analytics applications and/or data pipelines.
  • Proven track record delivering solutions with modern programming languages. Preference with Python and Javascript.
  • Experience either as a full stack developer or prior experience on a data science team.
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery systems and/or practices.
  • strong technical capabilities and aptitude
  • strong knowledge of application development concepts and practices.
  • Experience leveraging code control and specifically GIT.
  • strong understanding of networking and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Batch, Azure Databricks, Azure App, Docker and Angular all pluses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work on advanced analytics product teams to take the models developed by our data scientists to production.
    • This includes packaging existing R and python code into our Azure platform.
    • Leveraging Docker, Azure Batch, Databricks, others as needed.
    • Developing data pipelines for those models, including obtaining new data for our data lake.
  • Deliver solutions with an Agile/Scrum workflow.
  • Create custom solutions as needed to augment our analytics platform.
    • Tableau Custom Extensions
    • Simple CRUD interfaces for advanced models.
    • Automation improvements within our platform.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a broad set of team members and potentially stakeholders in our organization.
  • Create documentation, diagrams and artifacts for the products they are a part of.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry best practices
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
  • Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems together
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with data scientists\solution\information architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals
