Accountant

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Information Officer (CFO/CIO), this position performs accounting and payroll duties.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Reviews accounting transactions for compliance and accuracy, including accounts payable and cash receipts

Prepares accounting journal entries

Prepares monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations

Assists with a monthly financial period closing

Assists with financial report preparation

Assists with financial and other related audits

Assists with yearly budget and monthly projections preparation

Ensures compliance with PureView Financial Policy and Procedures, Federal Grants requirements and any other relevant rules and regulations

Monitors clinic contracts for financial compliance with PureView Procurement Policies and Procedures, and reports discrepancies to CFO/CIO

Prepares and processes payroll

Ensures payroll compliance with all relevant PureView, state, and federal regulations

Maintains payroll records

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications – Experience & Education 

The above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or other relevant fields

Two (2) years’ experience in accounting, finance or other relevant fields

Other relevant forms of education and experience may be considered

Experience in health care accounting and finance is preferred
