Title: Configuration Manager - Part Time

Location: Orlando, FL

Duration: 10 month contract

Compensation: $40-$45/hr

Skillset:
  • The Configuration Manager is responsible for effectively tracking, logging, categorizing, and maintaining changes made against the accepted standards. He/She will develop, distribute, and track all change packages.

    This is a part-time role expected to work around 10 hours per week. Possibility of increased hours in the future. Possibility of working remotely. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
  • Recommend configuration management solutions that effectively meet customer requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate system configuration activities for timely completion.
  • Maintain configuration management documentations for reference purposes.
  • Develop process improvements to enhance configuration efficiency.
  • Determine configuration requirements and develop system configuration procedures.
  • Educate staffs about configuration policies and practices.
  • Assist in developing tools to support daily configuration management activities.
  • Follow and enforce configuration management policies and practices.
  • Analyze and resolve configuration problems in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate configuration discrepancies to Management for immediate resolutions.
  • Assist in designing automation tools to support configuration procedures.
  • Ensure that system configuration is executed in accordance with customer needs.
  • Assist in configuration audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Support corporate standardization initiatives such as ISO and CMMI
  • Operate/ Update Configuration Management software and databases

    • Completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree in business, management, leadership, computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of experience working in configuration/change management.
    Essential Mental Requirements
    • Exceptional organizational skills are required.
    • Strong computer proficiency is required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Possesses a technical writing capability.
