Maintenance Supervisor II

Full time Maintenance Supervisor needed at LB Residential facility. Responsible for day-to-day functions related to TTC facilities in Long Beach (Maintenance, Engineering, Environmental Services). The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the designated Safety Officer when the Director is not present. Negotiates contracts/bids for services provided by outside vendors and recommends cost effective methods/plans. Evaluates maintenance and safety issues and prioritizes within the programs and services of the associated facilities. Provides supervision and support to other maintenance staff under his/her supervision. Plans, schedules, and coordinates security, housekeeping, maintenance, facilities support services and outside contractors towards the overall goal of improvement of the physical plant. Performs other duties as assigned by Program Director. Job Requirements: Minimum (1) year in a healthcare facilities management environment or an appropriate technical degree related to facilities, systems, etc or equivalent experience. Knowledge and experience in Joint Commission survey preparation helpful. Trade/Industry knowledge in construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, wastewater removal, HAZMAT. Experience in the areas of life safety training/compliance equipment testing/inspection.
