Vector’s client, a leading provider of security, detection, and surveillance technology to clients in the DMV area, is looking for a Department

Director of Life Safety & Security Sales to lead both the Sales Department and Sales process. This position can sit in Chantilly, Baltimore, or Richmond.

Position Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Overseeing and managing the sales team
  • Maintaining account ownership of designated house accounts.
  • Forming sales strategies
  • Identifying valuable emerging markets and market trends
  • Accurately forecasting sales, forming sales plans, and maintaining pipeline using company's CRM platform
  • Serving as a business representative at industry events.
  • Maximizing company profit
  • Perform personnel functions for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, and enhancing productivity
  • Prepares correspondence for the purpose of documenting activities, providing directions and or conveying information
  • Enforce compliance with company administrative policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:
  • Have in depth knowledge of construction management process, principles, and application
  • Have proven experience and success

    of 5+ years in leading sales teams and processes in the areas of Life Safety & Security systems, specifically High Definition Video Surveillance, Fire Alarms, Access Control Solutions, Intrusion Detection System Solutions, Video & Telephone Entry Solutions, Area-of-Refuse Solutions and Emergency Phone & Emergency Call Box Solutions
  • Review all outgoing proposals for accuracy and profitability
  • Review all contracts for accuracy and acceptability of terms
  • Provide input on print and social media marketing
  • Work with other department directors to achieve successful projects, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Proven Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and execute sales results
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing; with presentation skills.
  • Ability to interface and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, as well as senior management.
  • Advanced computer skills and software knowledge to include MS Office and other company software.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, able to set priorities and meet deadlines in fast paced environment.
