This role will support the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program through the development and support of software, application and systems solutions to meet business requirements and functions of the Financial Administrative components of the TRIRIGA application. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of operational financial processes; Accounts Receivable/Payable, Inventory Control, GL and Enterprise Resource Planning and financial IT systems. The EAM Center is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing support of the University’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system TRIRIGA including systems maintenance, production support, analysis and design, testing, training, and execution of system projects and initiatives. TRIRIGA is the primary information technology application for Facilities Management (Operations & Maintenance), Capital Projects, Space Management, Real Estate, Facility Condition Analysis and Sustainability. This set of foundational data systems and services form the backbone of numerous mission critical campus operations and decision-making processes. The Center also supports University Services’ SAP Business Intelligence tool Business Objects. Responsibilities:Business Analysis

  • Identify and analyze problems (or opportunities) and recommend the best solution to meet the business needs of the department and support the enterprise asset management project and technology
  • Create project documentation (i.e., to-be process maps; SOP’s, playbook, FDS, etc.). Ensure that the Module Document is current and is able to reflect process changes, business rules & decisions by identified due dates. Ensure and show traceability of workstream requirements
  • Document and communicate specification for complex functional business processes, data and technology requirements. Leads and/or assists in producing diagrams and schematics to describe as-is, to-be business process diagrams, use cases, and data needs and formalizes into comprehensive Project Management and/or Business Requirements documentation.
  • Prepares business/functional requirements for complex systems, system integrations, and advanced multi-functional and enterprise solutions
  • Examine short and long range business plans and determine if/how technology can best be applied to help achieve the plans
  • Leads, manages and supports (multiple) programs and projects at a strategic and operational level
  • Ability to anticipate and critically analyze a broad range of complex problems and issues
  • Practical experience in leading and developing industry recognized business analysis methods and techniques
  • Demonstrate ability to optimize system workflow and drive continuous process improvement
  • Reports status and issues to insure proper executions and escalations
  • Ensure that business requirements are represented in the TRIRIGA application by gaining a thorough understanding of TRIRIGA toolset
  • Create training content, using templates and tools
  • Delivery of training courses on how to use TRIRIGA.
Module Administration & Testing:
  • Maintain functional administration through security user roles, understanding data relationships, and underlying application functionality. Ensure that TRIRIGA functions as expected by creating test plans, test scripts and validating the functionality by completing the testing process
  • Create and execute testing plans and test scripts
  • Facilitate and participate in testing sessions.
  • Identify, log and validate log defects
  • Document and reporting test results
  • Validate that the TRIRIGA system is designed and configured to match the UMN requirements
Data Quality and Reporting
  • Lead the development of reporting requirements and metrics for assigned business units
  • Support processes, standards, and audit protocol to ensure process consistency and data integrity
  • Create short and long-term reporting and trend analysis for assigned

  • BA/BS degree required. Four years of work experience in the areas of business or systems process analysis with a related degree. Six years of work experience in the areas of business or systems process analysis with a non-related degree.
  • Practical experience in leading and developing industry-leading business analysis methods and techniques.
  • Practical experience and understanding of project management and system lifecycles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TRIRIGA application.
  • Previous implementation experience of the TRIRIGA application
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management best practices
  • Accounting or financial system experience
