Consulting Member of Technical Staff (JoinOCI-SDE)

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is looking for an experienced lead engineer who will establish best practices for web services and vend related application frameworks.In this role, you and your team will design, implement, and support software solutions that enable partner teams to deliver new products in Oracle Cloud. These solutions will also feature operational insights to facilitate detecting, diagnosing, and resolving issues unique to distributed systems. You will partner with dozens of teams in Oracle to solicit requirements and deliver foundational solutions that ensure all Oracle Cloud products exceed customer expectations regarding quality, security, performance, and fault tolerance.You should have a deep understanding of both distributed systems and lower-level operating systems concepts. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative agile environment, and be excited to learn.Minimum qualifications:12 years of professional software development experience.

4 years of experience implementing and operating web services.

Comfortable with a statically typed programming language such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Rust, C, C , or C#.

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating system internals, and distributed systems.
