Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Heavy equipment mechanic performs routine maintenance, diagnoses problems, and completes repairs on heavy equipment. Fleet includes semi trucks, dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, skid steer, etc. The equipment was almost all made before the laptop-diagnosis era. So old fashioned mechanic troubleshooting skills are a must. Company has some machines that have been out of service and must be evaluated to determine whether it makes sense to restore and reuse, restore and sell, or sell as-is, Requires understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems for tracked machines.

Equipment located in Phoenix and Show Low. Must be willing to commute / work there an a regular basis. Housing provided and any travel expenses will be reimbursed. You can set your own hours and work with total autonomy. Need between 10-20 hours per week and position is permanent / long term. Willing to pay by hour or by project. Pay at upper end of industry average depending upon experience.
