POSITION SUMMARY:

Influence sales of all Carquest and any other products offered by Carquest of Hawaii to assigned customers throughout the territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prospect and develop assigned accounts and provide parts and service to meet customer needs.

2. Develop E-commerce, loyalty programs, and other business opportunities for all assigned accounts, provide quotes and close sales.

3. Establish and maintain close-working relationships with customers at all levels.

4. Introduction of Carquest of Hawaii capabilities to all customers.

5. Make routine sales calls on customers in assigned markets and maintain a quoting process for parts and service.

6. Provide coordination between customers and said departments to provide best possible service.

7. Maintain customer contact information, daily sales call reports and weekly call planners.

8. Assist Credit Dept. as required in the collection of past due A/R.

9. Develop sales goals and objectives for each market.

10. Perform any job that may be assigned as necessary to meet the company, department or individual goals and objectives

11. Ability to attend scheduled meetings at specified locations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Must have a high school diploma or have passed a GED test or equivalent.

2. Preferred minimum of five years in auto parts sales environment with experience in customer service.

3. Must have and maintain a valid Drivers’ License with a good driving record.

4. Must have ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

6. Must have a positive attitude and be a self-starter.

7. Must be organized and a good planner.

8. Must be dependable and punctual.

9. Ability to set and meet goals.

10. Must own a smart phone.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants may be required to pass a written and/or oral examination before being considered for employment in this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs and through uneven terrain.

2. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous paperwork and equipment parts.

3. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.

4. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.

5. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.

6. Vision: Read computer and paperwork.

7. Talking: Communications by phone and in person.

8. Sitting: Sits at desk. Sits for long periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL:

1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.

2. Temp/Weather: Works in both office and outdoor environment.
